- Where does Five Star Tours pick up?
Our main pick up location is the Amtrak Santa Fe Train Station located at 1050 Kettner Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101. For hotel pick up locations, please call us at 619.232.5040.
- What kind of tours does Five Star Tours offer?
Five Star Tours offer various different kind of tours for our clients. We can create any private tour of San Diego or other different destinations to great group tours of 40 people to Baja, Mexico to enjoy Mexican Lobster. We also create great times on our tours to Las Vegas and beyond.
- How do you reserve a tour with Five Star Tours?
The best way to reserve a tour is to fill out our Online Reservation Forms. Please make sure you fill in all appropiate information so that Five Star Tours staff may send you a confirmation via email. If this is an urgent request, please contact our office at 619 232 5040 and speak to our tour reservations staff. We look forward to having you on board our tours!
- What forms of payment does Five Star Tours accept?
Five Star Tours at times might ask for a deposit on your tour confirmation or else full payment depending on the tour factors such as times, days or destinations. We ask for a deposit which is just to guarantee your space on your tour. Most deposits are refundable.
- What forms of identification do I need to cross in and out of Mexico?
For US Citizens, you are required to bring a photo I.D. and a passport is highly recommended ( or US Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate) for re-entry into US. Any parents traveling with children are encouraged to carry birth certificates. For Non US Citizens, a passport, 1-94 card or resident alien card is required. Due to high security alerts, additional paperwork may be required and is left to the clients responsibility to find out about this throught their local embassy.
- Does the bus have a restroom?
Our 50 passenger motor coach has a restroom and is the vehicle used on most our tours. For smaller groups we may use either the 30 passenger mini-bus, the 18 passenger mini-bus with wheelchair lift or our 12 passenger van, these do not have restrooms.
- Do we have a set minimum to operate the tour?
Five Star Tours does have the right to cancel any tours if we do not currently meet our participants minimum. If we do cancel the tour, you will not be charged for the tour at all.
- Do we operate rain or shine? Do we have assigned seating?
Five Star Tours will operate a tour rain or shine and do not have assigned seating. We strongly encourage families to participate in our tours and welcome service animals.
